    Sunday School Classes and Group Studies

     

    People eager for faith-building experiences based on study of Scripture, and enlivened by our faith tradition and common experiences meet each Sunday morning and during the week.   All classes are delighted to welcome guests.

    The Library Class - is a multi-generational group who study Christian literature for spiritual development through an open discussion format.  Most recently they have studied C.S. Lewis, Philip Yancy and John Wesley.   Contact person:  Mary Minge

    Builders Class – Composed of senior adults, this class meets in the Builders Classroom.  They follow the United Methodist quarterly adult curriculum and rotate teachers.  Contact person:  James Campbell  

    Fellowship Class – We meet in Fellowship Hall in the Northwest end of the church building.  Our four awesome teachers are rotated each week, teaching from the bible supplemented with Adult Bible Studies from Cokesbury.  We are always delighted to have anyone visit our class to see if it serves your needs.  We are very much an extended family for each other, so we welcome you to become a part of our close knit group.  We are a caring-loving group who believe Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world-the Son of the Creator of the Universe offering to all God's plan for salvation and eternal life through Him.     Celebration Class – Meets upstairs around bistro tables for breakfast and a sampling of topics pertaining to living the Christian life.  Class contact:  Brenda Moore  

     

     Genesis Class - An Adult Sunday School class featuring a wide-ranging discussion on a variety of  topics with Biblical concepts. Studies have been based on Christian writings, books of the Bible and Christian pioneers. Class Contacts: Kay and Dana Sisk 

     

    Junior and Senior High Class – Meets upstairs and studies relevant themes that allow understanding and development of Christian discipleship.

     

    Bible and Discipleship Studies – The church hosts an ecumenical Ladies Bible Study at the Family Life Center.   Contact person is Gwen Murray. 

    High Noon Bible Study – the pastor leads a noon bible study on Mondays to examine various books of the bible and their implications for discipleship.  A daily devotional is posted on the website and sent as an email to participants to promote daily scripture reading and reflection.

    Additional short –term bible and Christian life studies are held throughout the year including Financial Peace University.   Please check the calendar to find out when these short-term studies are available.
